Consuming good food boosts our overall health and well-being. It provides essential nutrients for energy and growth. Healthy food strengthens the immune system, protecting against diseases. It improves mental clarity and mood stability. Good food choices lead to a longer, more vibrant life.
That’s why we use the finest and freshest ingredients. Starting with scratch made sauces to insure flavor and a taste that brings you right to the islands. Keeping it both nutritious and delicious, we create flavor combinations to make healthy food enjoyable without unhealthy additives. Incorporating our family recipes right into our menu, we hope to create a memory or take you back to the moment you enjoyed in Hawaii. The majority of our menu is scratch made items. We take pride in the prep and presentation we deliver, and hope to inspire people to choose quality over convenience in their diets.
With every meal we make, we are looking to Make A Difference where ever we go! By serving a quality meal made from the heart, we are able to share the love of our culture. We are able to interact with the communities around us, and share our passion of cooking traditional cuisines.
“Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten.” -Lilo & Stitch
We started our Ohana in 2001 and are a family of four, with our oldest daughter living her best life up in Prescott Valley after graduating from NAU. Our youngest, graduated high school a year early, is looking forward to trade school and building his own business. He is often seen helping on the food truck and at a young age took the course to be a certified food handler.
Ohana involves ensuring that everyone has what they need to live and survive with joy. Not only the children but also our elders, who receive much respect. This includes close friends and extended family. The idea that family is chosen, nurtured, and forever.
Ohana is not just a word, it's a way of life!
Not too long after having our daughter, life happened.
We became caretakers for our grandmother, Garon's father, then Nikki’s father. In between those cracks, we were in a major accident that took both of us out of our traditional jobs. We were told Garon would never walk again, and Nikki had major head injuries that left her to have seizures. This led us to an entrepreneurial life. Creating something that worked with our schedule. We have ran multiple businesses, and won many awards. In every business, people complimented our food and told us we needed to do catering. Opening a Hawaiian Food Truck has been our newest adventure, and we are proud of the awards and achievements we have made with it. Why Hawaiian food? It’s what we know and grew up with. Nikki’s actually Hawaiian…might not look it but her family is from Oahu. She grew up dancing hula, surfing and even knows some of the language. Why not share a passion and culture for the world to embrace.
As we visit different locations, looking to Make A Difference with every dish, we continue to build our Ohana. With our customers who we greatly appreciate, and with other vendors or small business owners who we support and encourage. We enjoy bringing people together to create an atmosphere that showcases what Ohana really means. A world where we build people up, support them, and share kindness because nobody gets left behind or forgotten.
